About The Founder

James is a British national and a native English speaker.  He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, (ranked 6th in the world and 3rd in Europe by The Financial Times in 2023) and a BA Hons. Degree from the University of London. He has completed various specialist courses in teaching English as a foreign language through renowned institutions such as the British Council and Cambridge Assessment. 

 

James has accumulated 13 years of business and corporate knowledge with notable global businesses, including Citibank, GE Capital, and American Express, as well as experience as a self-employed freelancer in the creative industries. He was responsible for acquiring new financial services businesses in Italy and the UK for GE Capital, worked in a start up for American Express, and was a Director at Citigroup Asset Management & Citibank Italy.

 

James´s passion lies in coaching English as a second language, and he has been actively involved in freelance teaching, both online and face-to-face, in Asia & Latin America, since 2020. 

 

Additionally, James volunteers time to teach intermediate and advanced students through the "Teachers For Ukraine" program. For every 10 hours of sessions booked via The Business Fluency Hub, he will volunteer at least 1 hour of his time to this great organisation.

 

¨My teaching journey has recently taken me to various countries in Latin America, including Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. I am currently based in Colombia.
